Sales Engineer

This position will be responsible for solution architecture, customer-facing demos, and pre-sales technical support and integration services for our customers. PacGenesis has strong technical partnerships and customer relationships built around high-speed data transfer and security. Our customers rely on PacGenesis Sales Engineers and Consultants to be their trusted advisor and primary pre-sales technical contact.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate high-speed file transfer, security, and management solutions to current and potential customers through web and on-site meetings, and in trade show environments.
Work directly with Sales teams in identifying, qualifying, and progressing new opportunities.
Assist customers directly in the evaluation and deployment of software, including troubleshooting issues in software, network, systems on Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms.
Understand and document customer workflows.
Maintain technical knowledge of new software feature enhancements and capabilities, and communicate to customers and to internal teams as the subject matter expert.
Act as a customer advocate for new features and issue resolution.

Skills:

Strong Windows, MacOS and Linux system administration, including user and filesystem management
Strong cloud technology skills, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. Strong networking skills, including troubleshooting connectivity and performance problems for TCP and UDP sessions
Fundamentals in hardware and software firewall and basic routing Intermediate scripting (shell, powershell, Python) and REST API
Excellent customer communication skills, with ability to engage with deeply technical customer contacts as well as explain core concepts to non-technical audiences
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and issues

Education/Experience:

BA/BS required, strong preference for Computer Science/Computer Engineering major
5 years experience in hands-on technical roles
